Telescope course for astronomers

See the galaxies up close! Telescope course with Astronomen this fall

This fall, you have the chance to combine learning, nature experiences and socializing under the stars. Vegard Rekaa of Astronomen AS invites you to a series of telescope courses in some of Norway's most beautiful places, where you can have a very special experience together with others who share your interest in space.

These courses are not only for those who want to learn more about astronomy, but also for those who want a unique experience. As darkness falls, we gather under the night sky to explore the stars together. You'll learn how to use a telescope, navigate star charts and gain insight into different telescope models. There's something special about standing outside in the fresh air, perhaps with a hot cup in your hand, and seeing the stars up close with a group of like-minded people.

For all levels

Whether you've dreamed of seeing Saturn's rings or are just curious about how a telescope works, these courses are perfect for you. We customize the training to your level, and you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and try out what you've learned. If you have your own telescope, you can bring it along for personal guidance. If you don't, you can borrow one from us to make sure you get the best experience.

A social and educational evening

The great thing about these evenings is that they also give you an opportunity to meet new people. We create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where you can share your interests with others and perhaps make new friends. After we've learned the basics, we go out and try the telescopes together. It's a great opportunity to share those moments when you catch sight of a distant galaxy for the first time or see the craters of the moon in detail.
