This autumn you have the chance to combine learning, nature experiences and socialising under the starry sky. Vegard Rekaa of Astronomen AS invites you to a series of telescope courses at some of Norway's most beautiful locations, where you can have a truly special experience alongside others who share your interest in space.
These courses are not just for those who want to learn more about astronomy, but also for you who want a unique experience. When darkness falls, we gather under the night sky to explore the stars together. You will learn how to use a telescope, navigate using star charts and gain insight into different telescope models. There is something truly special about standing outdoors in the fresh air, perhaps with a warm cup in hand, and seeing the stars up close together with a group of like-minded people.

For all levels
Whether you have dreamed of seeing Saturn's rings, or are simply curious about how a telescope works, these courses are perfect for you. We tailor the instruction to your level, and you will have plenty of time to ask questions and try out what you have learned. If you have your own telescope, you can bring it for personal guidance. If not, you can borrow one from us, so that you get the best possible experience.

A social and educational evening
The great thing about these evenings is that they also give you a chance to meet new people. We create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere where you can share your interests with others and perhaps form new friendships. After we have learned the basics, we head outside and try the telescopes together. It is a wonderful opportunity to share the moments when you spot a distant galaxy for the first time or see the moon's craters in detail.
